Experience their way of life, their traditions, and what they hold dear. Here you can see and greet Sami in Sami costume and here you get the opportunity to feed and touch a reindeer if the reindeer wants it. You can also try your hand at lassoing reindeer antlers and hunting bow.
We will take the trip into a lavvo with space for 40 guests, here it is a campfire and hot drinks that we enjoy when we are sitting on reindeer skins on the ground or on one of 5 benches.
We will here sit around the campfire and hear about Sami culture and history while we enjoy something hot to drink.
In the winter and if it is possible, you can buy yourself a sleigh ride with the reindeer if the conditions are right. It`s depending on there is snow and if the reindeer’s daily form is in shape.
We never know what the weather will be like, or how the animal kingdom will behave, but if we are lucky, we will also be able to see the eagle fly curiously over us and in the sea outside there are both killer whales and harbor seals swimming past, but it’s not every day that we get to see something so spectacular, but we never know.
Overview
You’ll have the chance to meet the Sámi people dressed in their traditional attire. You will also get to hear joik, there’s cultural song and they’ll guide you through their homeland, showcasing their reindeer herds and traditional way of living in lavvu tents.
