Welcome to Husky Visit – Only 40 minutes from Harstad
Here you will be warmly welcomed when you arrive, by both the host and the dogs.
Well, received and when you have sat down inside the «Pyramid» you will be told how to behave in the dog kennel, they are not dangerous. They are very kind and only want to greet you. They love visits and will be happy to give you a hug, so make sure your clothes can withstand two dog paws from a dog who just wants to greet you.
After the visit to the kennel, it’s back to the Pyhramide and here you will now hear about what it’s like to be a sled dog and what it’s like to take part in one of the world’s toughest sled races called the arctic Finnmarksløpet.
And when you sit there around the fire and on reindeer skins, you will be served the locale and the world’s famose cake, called Kvæfjord cake, or you will be served the very best homemade cinnamon rolls, and to top it all off, you will also get Norwegian laugh with salmon and salad in it. Drinks are either coffee, tea or cocoa, you decide what you want most.
Trust me, you won’t find better hosts, because they are just so down-to-earth and nice that you will definitely want to come back on another occasion and who knows, maybe Torbjørn, one of the staff will bring out the guitar and play a wonderful song for you.

- For 4 to 10 persons.
- Open Monday to Friday. First group starts 09:30 and the second group starts 11.30
- The stay itself takes from 1 to 1,5 hours and including cozy information in a wooden lavvo with campfire, hot drinks, something good to eat, and the chance to eat the world’s best cake, Kvæfjordcake and visit Huskys.
- Driving to and from is additional
- Remember right winter clothes and footwear according to the season.
- Let us know about any food allergies.
- We reserve the right to cancel in the event of extremely bad weather or illness of the dog or handler.
- Refunds will be given upon cancellation, minus the booking/bank fee.
- You participate at your own risk and responsibility – Loss of private equipment is not covered, so remember to take out travel insurance.

- Remember clothes that can withstand two dog paws and wear the right clothes and footwear according to the seasons.
- You can also stand on the outside of the fence in the kennel if you do not feel safe around dogs.
